After-Hours Tutorial Ministry
Ministry Servant Leader: Min. Carl E. Pollard, Jr.
This ministry is designed for youth ages 8-14, to promote academic
excellence in the areas of math, science, and reading. Using computer
technology and nurturing adult tutors, the ministry seeks to prepare
students for a successful high school experience.
Audio/Visual Ministry
Ministry Servant Leader: Mr. Barry Jagbir
The Audio Visual Ministry uses state-of-the-art equipment to produce
quality recordings of all worship services and Bible Study classes.
The recordings are available in tape and compact disc formats. Additionally,
the ministry provides AV support for church related events.
Children’s Church Ministry
Ministry Servant Leader: Sis. Veronica Moran
Children’s Church provides children ages 3-14 with a foundation
in the word of God. Through age specific activities, children receive
instructions in scripture memorization and application. The ministry
also provides instruction through drama, arts and crafts and a variety
of other mediums. The ministry principally operates during the time
of the morning worship service.
Church School
Ministry Servant Leader: Dea. James Jenkins
Church School seeks to provide a solid and relevant education in
the Word of God. The focus is on intentional learning and spiritual
to growth so that the Church might be filled with believers well
able to rightly divide the word of God. The ministry typically meets
at 9am each Sunday Morning.
Culinary Ministry
Ministry Servant Leader: Sis. Constance Byrd
The Culinary Ministry provides nutritious meals for all occasions.
Through a cadre of committed volunteers the ministry provides for
bereaved families as well as congregational celebrations.
Diaconate Ministry
Ministry Servant Leaders: Dea. Clarence Bland and Dea. James
Jenkins
Greek word meaning “One Who Serves”
The Diaconate Ministry provides support to the pastor by providing
caring and compassionate service to the congregation. Those services
include visiting the sick, leading worship, being actively involved
in the service, and support other ministries of the church. Along
with the Trustee Ministry the Diaconate constitutes the core leadership
group of the church.
Decorating Ministry
Ministry Servant Leader: Sis. Jujuana Avery
The Decorating Ministry is responsible for the beautification of
the Church. The ministry ensures that furnishing and other items
that enhance the beauty of the building are in place. Additionally,
the ministry provides theme oriented decorations for various events
and seasons.
Esther Ministry
Ministry Servant Leaders: Sis. Barbara Harris and Sis. Sonia
Roberts
The Esther Ministry helps young ladies ages 8-18 develop a sense
of empowerment through instructions in etiquette, personal values,
and Christian ethics. The ministry encourages young ladies to see
their inner God given beauty and to make decisions that reflect
a desire to honor God and themselves.
Food Bank Ministry
Ministry Servant Leader: Sis. Audrey Brent
The Food Bank Ministry offers non-perishable food items to families
in need. The ministry provides the service to families who are pre-qualified
through the presentation of relevant documentation.
Health Ministry
Ministry Servant Leaders: Min. LaKeshia McKnight and
Sis. Margaret Tyler Sis. Lisa Stewart
The Health Ministry takes the lead in helping the congregation attain,
maintain, and regain the best state of health possible. The ministry
provides limited on site health checks, (i.e. blood pressure etc.)
health related information, and referrals for health service. Additionally,
a component of the Ministry is called “Fit for Life”
which provides guidance in exercise and diet.
Intercessory Prayer Ministry
Ministry Servant Leader: Dea. Patricia Clark
Prayer warriors meet and help to create the atmosphere to usher
in the Holy Ghost to be free to move during our weekly services.
They also minister to individuals with specific prayer needs during
the prayer-time segment whenever the Holy Spirit desires. Healing,
deliverance, and financial breakthroughs are some of the manifestations
of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry. In Ezekiel 22:30 the Bible
says, "God is looking for someone to stand in the gap before
Him."
Through
faith in the inerrant word of God, perseverance, long-suffering,
and steadfastness in Christ, the Intercessory Prayer Ministry prays
for the Pastor and ministries of the Church for forthcoming visions,
and specific request and needs. Prayer Service is Wednesday evenings
at 6:00 P.M.
Hosanna Praise Dance Ministry
Ministry Servant Leader: Sis. Veronica Moran
The Hosanna Praise Dance Ministry provides an opportunity for the
congregation to experience worship through movement and dance. The
ministry serves as an enhancement to the worship service by using
choreographed dance presentations.
Hospitality Ministry
Ministry Servant Leader: Sis. Renee’ Jones
The Hospitality Ministry provides support to all activities that
involve greeting persons who are visiting the church. The ministry
provides information to visitors about our services and provides
direction to other parts of the building. Also, the ministry sends
a “Thanks for The Visit” letter, with a gift CD of the
service, to those who are first time visitors.
